The Rain Bird ST8I-2.0 Smart Indoor WiFi Sprinkler/Irrigation System Timer/Controller is an EPA WaterSense Certified device that offers enhanced control and convenience for managing your sprinkler system. This improved model from Rain Bird places even more control of your irrigation system in the palm of your hand, saving you time, water, and money.

Featuring numerous upgrades over the obsolete ST8I-WIFI timer, the new ST8I-2.0 offers faster app speed, enhanced water usage reporting, custom manual watering options, automatic shut-off when rain is forecasted, the ability to copy a zone's program to other zones, and notification of program changes. Certified by the EPA's WaterSense program, this timer is designed to provide at least a 20% water-savings over non-certified models.

The Rain Bird app allows you to conveniently control multiple timers located anywhere in the world. You can install the app on multiple devices and securely share control with family members, landscapers, and others. The timer is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple iOS 8 or greater, and Android 4.4 (KitKat) or later, providing access to its programming capabilities through wireless networks, in-range mobile devices, or directly from the timer's control panel.

Customizing watering schedules is simple, and the system will automatically adjust the daily schedule based on season, local weather, temperature, and humidity. Each zone can be set with a unique name, picture, frequency, start time, and run time to ensure healthy plants and reduced water usage. The Automatic Seasonal Adjust feature downloads and calculates data for your specific ZIP Code every night to optimize the watering schedule.

The timer offers numerous customization options, including the ability to water on custom days of the week, odd or even calendar days, or on a cyclic schedule (every 1-14 days). Up to 6 start times per zone and run times from 0-199 minutes can be programmed. All settings are stored indefinitely in memory, eliminating the need to re-program in the event of a power outage.

The Rain Bird app's Notification feature keeps you informed of what's happening in your yard, even when you're away from home. You'll receive alerts if someone enables a watering delay, the Automatic Seasonal Adjust is applied, the date or time is incorrect, the timer disconnects from the WiFi network, a valve malfunctions, or a possible freeze is detected.

The Watering Delay feature allows you to suspend watering from 1 to 14 days, with the programming automatically resuming once the selected delay has ended. The timer also connects to a master valve or pump start relay and supports a wired Rain Sensor to automatically turn off watering when it rains (rain sensor sold separately).

Designed for use in weather-resistant locations like a garage or waterproof shed, the sealed case protects the timer from moisture, insects, and grime. The package includes a transformer with a 6' cord, mounting hardware, and an installation guide. An indoor/outdoor model, the ST8O-2.0, is also available separately.
